While the home was perfectly kept by its previous owners dating back to the 1890’s, the decor was outdated and the layout of the home was quite awkward. This was when we met Vanessa, who, on her first visit, took pages of handwritten notes of every detail we talked about. I wanted the house to reflect our personality, but make life easier for us at the same time. Vanessa presented us with a design that was truly unique and jaw breaking, while keeping the integrity of the original home. She left no stone unturned and thought about every single detail to pull everything together. Things that we would have never thought about, like the kitchen ceiling, Vanessa would pay attention to. I would feel comfortable sharing even my craziest ideas and Vanessa would turn them into something classy, but not over the top. Vanessa is passionate about design and clearly loves her job. Having been in our current home 20 years, we had decided to update our master bedroom. We had wanted to make a dramatic change from antique with dark colours to something with strong mid-century modern themes and light colours with a functional walk-in closet. We met with Vanessa we were immediately impressed at how quickly she was able to connect to our vision and provide an innovative and exciting design that built on our desired themes perfectly. She provided a comprehensive plan incorporating existing elements we had collected as well as introducing new accessories to create a relaxing functional space with a quiet positive energy.
